Tasting sessions at our Cellar Door are perfect for the wine curious, whether you’re a serious enthusiast seeking more knowledge about Ata Rangi and the region or just starting out on your wine journey.
Your Ata Rangi Signature Experience is seated around a table in our beautiful bespoke wine room. This is a special opportunity to learn about the Ata Rangi story from our knowledgeable team, while enjoying a selection of our current wines. You may be joined by other likeminded wine enthusiasts but we reserve limited spaces for these tasting sessions to ensure the experience remains intimate and personal.
Our tasting sessions are suited to small groups seeking more knowledge, so maximum group size is 6 people.
Our wine shop is open daily offering a selection of wines to taste or you can simply drop by to purchase your favourite Ata Rangi wines. No need to make a booking for the wine shop, just come on by..

Ata Rangi Signature Experience | 11am daily
Walk the vineyard. Taste the wines. Understand the place.
A special hosted experience exploring the history and wines of Ata Rangi. Visit our original Abel clone plantings, the vineyard block at the heart of the Ata Rangi story, and discover their significance to the development of Martinborough Pinot Noir.
Back in the Wine Room, enjoy a curated tasting of selected Ata Rangi wines, shaped around your interest. This will include single vineyard wine, or older vintages from our wine cellar, which are not available through our regular retail offering.
Each experience is individually hosted, with the vineyard walk and tasting shaped around the day.
Daily at 11am, November to April
$35 per person, or complimentary with wine purchase over $75

A spontaneous way to taste to our wines.
If you prefer to drop in and try our wines at your own pace, our Wine Shop offers a more impromptu tasting experience. A perfect way to taste our current release wines.
Open daily 10am–4pm
Daily wine tasting: $15 per person, complimentary with a wine purchase
Single Vineyard tasting: $30 per person, complimentary with a wine purchase from your tasting selection

The Ata Rangi Cellar Door experience focuses on sharing our wine knowledge and tasting, we don’t have a food offering but many of our neighbouring Cellar Doors do have fantastic local food available.
